The Coastal Settlement as by its name 'Republic of Singapore' as well, has a lot of vintage items placed around in the restaurant itself. The fact that it is situated away deep in the east, makes it rather special.

Food was really good. Never had such good truffle fries (my favourite). The portion was also good. We could finish everything and our tummies were really satisfied!
I ordered the Rosti with Chicken Sausage and the sausage was huge and maybe I didn't read the menu in detail, it was Cheese Chicken Sausage! The inside was soft and outside was crisp instead of soft!
Friend ordered the Grilled Fish of the Day. Can't remember the name of the fish but the price was a little more than the one stated in the menu. They came to clarify and my friend still gave it a shot. Served with rice and a small portion of sambal kangkong with chilli. It was really good as well. We just ate the fish. We couldn't finish the rice and vegetables.
We went there during lunch hours and it wasn't crowded. But I'm guessing it might be crowded during the weekends. It is definitely worth going back again although it is the complete opposite direction of my home!
